An Exceptional Collection of Ceramics by Gertrud and Otto Natzler

Rago is honored to present ceramics from the collection of Dr. Morton Grossman and his wife, Dorothy, who were great friends and collectors of Gertrud and Otto Natzler. The collection, which descended to their son David Armstrong, includes some of the finest examples of their volcanic and highly chromatic glazes as well as rarer forms, including mobiles by Otto and a copper bowl by Gertrud. The unique story of the Natzlers and Grossmans is told through an essay by scholar and author Glenn Adamson and never before seen Super 8 video footage of the artists filmed by Dr. Grossman himself.
