Marcy Hermansader received her BFA from the Philadelphia College of Art, where she studied with Cynthia Carlson, Ree Morton, and Rafael Ferrer. Her work has been awarded solo exhibitions at institutions including the Williams College Museum of Art, Williamstown, MA, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Philadelphia, the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, Lincoln, MA and the Brattleboro Museum & Art Center, Brattleboro, VT and is held in the permanent collections of numerous museums, such as the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Bowdoin College Museum, and the Minneapolis Institute of Art. Hermansader lives and works in Putney, VT.
