This double-page engraved map, published in Amsterdam, contains the world in a single circle of the world on one sheet. North America is shown with one large Great Lake, and New York is still labeled "Nieu Nederland" although the name was changed in 1664. The corner pieces were likely created by Jacob Harrewyn, and "greatly enhance the north polar projection adopted by Robyn," (Shirley 582).
