cast bronze, stainless steel, cast glass, and copper 10¾ h × 20½ w × 20¼ d in (27 × 52 × 51 cm)
The paw print mark represents Polich Tallex foundry (now UAP + Polich Tallix) in Rock Tavern, NY. They were the favorite fabricator of Louise Bourgeois. The first time Glancy cast a set of pieces with them, they had recently completed a museum-scale Bougeois "spider" and it shared the studio with his work.
A monumental example of the artist's work. Impressed signature and date to underside of vase ‘M. Glancy 2010’ with paw print foundry mark and artist's monogram. Etched signature, title and date to top of base ‘Michael Glancy 2010 Universe’.
