Monica Castiglioni is a celebrated Milanese photographer, sculptress, and video artist, who has been designing jewelry for over 40 years. Her signature, sculpture-like creations in solid bronze and semi-precious stones are inspired by nature and are either unique pieces or created in limited number using an ancient lost-wax casting technique. She splits her time between New York and Italy, and has pieces for sale in New York City at the Cooper Hewitt boutique and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The present lot, titled ‘SALICE-PIANGENTE’, translates to ‘Weeping Willow’
This work will ship from Lambertville, New Jersey.
