Timothy Cummings

Completely self-taught, Timothy Cummings was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he absorbed the dual influences of Spanish Catholicism and Southwest Native American cultures. His androgynous, rosy-cheeked figures speak to both the dreamlike, fantastical qualities of childhood as well as the adolescent struggles of navigating sexuality, gender identity, and self.
