In the early 20th Century, Alfred Langlois provided jewelry and objets to some of France's finest retailers, Van Cleef & Arpels, Lacloche Frères, and Janesich. Elaborate boxes and cigarette cases were among their specialties and their craft of working in enamel and difficult techniques quite remarkable. By 1932, the workshop was tactically absorbed into Van Cleef & Arpels.
