This tapestry was executed by a group of women affiliated with the Taller Torres-García between the years 1950 and 1960, who referred to themselves as the "MAOTIMA." The main member of this group was Torres-García's daughter, Ifigenia Torres, along with Torres' widow, Manolita, also being an active participant.
Sewn signature to lower left ‘J. Torres-Garcia’. This work is from the edition produced posthumously by MAOTIMA, Uruguay.
