Well-known for her "pseudo-pointillism" style, Liz Whitney Quisgard's work is a unique combination of meticulous patterns and vibrant, jewel-like colors. Influenced by Moorish architecture, Navajo textiles, Byzantine mosaics and the Baroque, She has found a distinct artistic voice that engages her audience with a multitude of visual delights.

Thanks to her background in fiber art, Quisgard has an innate understanding of the patience necessary to create her highly detailed and intricate compositions. Her paintings expertly combine structural designs with abstract concepts, and she stands by the idea, “What you see is what you get”. Uninterested in delivering cryptic messages or symbols, Quisgard strives to speak to viewers on a universal level, captivating the mind and pleasing the eye through pattern and color.

Quisgard has been awarded solo exhibitions at institutions such as the Museum of Geometric and MADI Art, Dallas, the Gilchrist Museum, Cumberland, MD, the Berkshire Museum, Pittsfield, MA, the Visual Arts Association, Louisville and the Loveland Museum, Loveland, CO. Among her numerous grants and awards is the prestigious Pollack-Krasner Foundation Grant and her works can be found in the permanent collections of 47 museums as well as corporate and private collections nationwide.
