Helen Morris Tucker married Howard Ridgely of Hampton House in Towson, Maryland, which is now a National Historic Site.
Service is comprised of a kettle on stand, coffee pot, teapot, chocolate pot, covered sugar bowl, cream jug and waste bowl featuring floral repoussé decoration and Chinese figural finials. Inscribed to underside of each vessel ‘Helen M Tucker from Mother and Father Oct 19 1881’. Impressed manufacturer's mark to underside of each example ‘S. Kirk & Sons 11 oz’. Kettle stand is unmarked. Sold with an associated Tiffany & Co. tray with an engraved monogram to center. Impressed manufacturer's mark to underside of tray ‘3990 ACS Tiffany & Co. Makers Silver Soldered 140 24 in F’.
