Viktor Schreckengost designed Jazz-themed plates for Cowan Pottery as an accompaniment to his famous Jazz bowls. Made in several different designs, the pieces were never put into full production. Though not as popular as his Jazz bowls, the plates are just as visually iconic and even rarer still, with the present lot being just one of a handful of known examples.
