Preston Singletary creates exquisite glass sculptures influenced by the stories and traditions of his native Tlinkit People. The present lot, Transference (Tulatseen), is exemplary of Singletary’s best work and has been included in several exhibitions. This work was a focal point of his mid-career retrospective exhibition, Preston Singletary: Echoes, Fire, and Shadow (2009), hosted at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, Washington and included in the accompanying monograph.
