Maison Krieger

Brothers Antoine and Nicolas Krieger launched Maison Krieger in 1826 in Paris. Their firm produced copies of eighteenth-century style designs and unique interpretations of the Louis XV and Louis XVI styles. They exhibited at the 1849 Exposition des Produits de l'Industrie in Paris and the Expositions Universelles of 1855 and 1900 in Paris, and were awarded a medal at the 1851 Great Exhibition in London for an oak sideboard they made for a client from the Ottoman Empire. Maison Krieger continued to create elegant furniture in numerous styles, both ancient and contemporary, and remained in business until the mid-20th century.
