Art Deco in the New Millennium

Jean de Merry and Christian Darnaud-Maroselli

Jean de Merry furniture is an artisanal line of handcrafted, Art Deco-inspired pieces. Founded in 2001 by Christian Darnaud-Maroselli and Jean de Merry, the emphasis has always been to create beautiful works with age-old techniques. De Merry, in particular, hails from a small French town where his family operated a leather tanning business for centuries. The duo’s workshop is based in Los Angeles, where they transfer their knowledge of classic French techniques for wood, leather, shagreen, parchment, and more to a new generation of American craftsmen. Their resulting creations are celebrated for their high-quality materials, timeless design, and exceptional craftsmanship.
