Dating back to 1613, Mellerio dits Meller remains a family owned jeweler on the Rue de la Paix in Paris. The legendary firm created jewelry for Marie Antoinette and Indian Maharajas and during the 1960s they explored avant-garde designs combining gems like lapis lazuli and diamonds. In France, they are also well-known as the creators of two important national sports trophies: the 'Ballon D'Or' awarded to the country’s best soccer player of the year and the 'Coupe des Mousquetaires' awarded at French Open tennis tournament, also called the Roland Garros.
