Ming '17.09' stainless steel wristwatch
Micro-brand Ming, recognized by the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève on four occasions, is a collective run by six enthusiasts, under the leadership of Ming Thein, a self-described ‘lover of fine watches’.
Featuring a 42 hour power reserve, this timepiece uses the caliber 330.M1 – modified by Manufacture Schwarz-Etienne. Ming worked with Manufacture Schwarz-Etienne to develop an independent hour hand adjustment mechanism, based on the Sellita SW330-2. This allows for a change in the hour hand without effecting the minute position or suspending time keeping.
The 17.09 dial is a two-piece construction featuring a fine Clous-de-Paris pattern in the center and a circular brushed outer section. Hour markers are placed on the underside of the sapphire crystal.
This exceptional piece is exemplary of the high quality watches produced by Ming.
