Victoire de Castellane
Victoire de Castellane jewelry designs for Dior rarely appear at auction. This one-of-a-kind ring comes from an early collection named "Pirate" designed circa 2000. The Pirate collection featured a treasure of jewels in hammered 18k gold set with bright colored gems, such as amethyst, or as found in this piece, a large cushion-cut citrine.
Victoire de Castellane designed Chanel's costume jewelry collection for Karl Lagerfeld before joining the House of Dior 20 years ago to launch their fine jewelry collection. She celebrates this anniversary with her newest book, Dior Joaillerie: The A to Z of Victoire de Castellane, published by Rizzoli this September.
