Rare panel, "Les Vendanges," France, ca. 1935; Polychromed, lacquered, and gilt wood, framed; Signed; Panel only: 24" x 22 1/4"; Provenance: Christie's; Literature: Marcilhac, Jean Dunand His Life and Works, p. 317, no. 1094 and 1099 for descriptions and an illustration of similar panels; This panel is a reduced-scale version of the SS Normandie mural. Dunand made numerous versions or the scene and some could be mounted for use as occasional tables or firescreens.
