Rare R. LALIQUE gallery chair, attributed to Rene Lalique and
Charles Lambert, for Lalique's Rue Therese showrooms, c. 1890, embossed
leather and walnut. The chair is believed to have been designed by
Lalique (leather) and manufactured by his brother-in-law, Lambert, in
1890 and were used until 1903, when Lalique moved to 40 Cours la Reine.
The interior of these premises are described by Vever as having
"furniture decorated with flowers," and the design conforms closely
with Lalique's letterhead used at the Rue Therese. |
