Historical + Militaria
Jewelry + Silver
Rago’s Jewelry and Silver departments are known in the field for the sale of fine luxury goods secured almost exclusively from private collectors and homes. International buyers and sellers look to Rago for the most important names in design; for rare period ornaments, gemstones, timepieces, objets de vertu and accessories; and for American, English, European, Asian and Russian silver, both traditional and modern.
Post War + Contemporary Art
Rago consistently achieves top prices for Modern masters, sets records for mid-career artists and expertly exposes the work of the leading artists of today/masters of tomorrow. We’ve built an extensive global clientele for important art that can’t compete for air in the New York sales and for strong collections that shouldn’t have the best 5% skimmed and 95% ignored. A favored agent for art insiders, we welcome inquiries from all.
For purchases made in the room or by phone or by absentee bid and paid for by check, cash, money order or wire transfer: A buyer’s premium will be applied to the hammer price of each lot equal to 25% on the first $250,000; 20% between $250,000 and $3 million.
Methods of Bidding
Bid Live by Phone
On the fall of the auctioneer’s hammer, title to the property immediately transfers to the successful bidder.
