Rago Arts

An International Leader

Much of the most important Modern design to come to auction has been sold by Rago's. We made the market for Paul Evans, Phil Powell and many other studio craftsmen, and sell more work by George Nakashima than any other auction house in the country. Rago’s has an international following among the most knowledgeable collectors, interior designers, and dealers, along with savvy celebrities and other buyers, high-end and mid-market. Each auction includes furnishings; ceramics, glass, and other decorative art; lighting and fine art. Rago's champions furniture from craftsmen such as Wharton Esherick, ceramics and glass by Gertrude and Otto Natzler and Dale Chihuly, metalwork by Albert Paley. We are also responsible for the resurgence of interest in furniture by interior designers including Tommi Parzinger, James Mont and Paul Laszlo. If you’ve coveted a piece on 1st Dibs, you could well have seen it at Rago’s first.
