Interpreting Nature through Glass: A Retrospective of a Studio Glass Artist

A poet working in a transparent medium, Paul Stankard is an internationally acclaimed artist and pioneer in the studio glass movement. He is considered a living master in the art of the paperweight, with work represented in more than 60 museums around the world.
On Tuesday, September 19, Rago Arts and Auction Center hosts an open house with Paul Stankard titled, “Interpreting Nature through Glass: A Retrospective of a Studio Glass Artist.” Stankard will detail the trials and triumphs of his over five decade career working in glass. He will share the inspirations that fuel his creations, from his early days as a master fabricator through his life-long journey as a studio glass artist, author and poet.
The open house begins at 5:00 p.m. at the Rago Arts and Auction Center. The talk begins at 6:00 p.m.
