Central Park Zoo gate proposal (New York, NY), Rochester, NY, 1985; Graphite on paper; Pencil signed and dated; Sheet: 18 3/4" x 19"; This concept became the foundation of "Animals Always," a large-scale exterior gateway sculpture at the entrance to the St. Louis Zoo in St. Louis, MO. Weighing in at over 107 tons this work contains the likeness of 50+ animals that can be found in the zoo.
