English steel spur rowel with traces of gilding, formed as a five-pointed star, bearing handwritten paper label stating that the rowel was taken by a John Wattis from a suit of armor belonging to King Richard III, contained in a chest at Bosworth Church, England, , possibly 15th century; 1 5/8"; Note: King Richard III was killed at the Battle of Bosworth In 1485 and buried by the Grey Friars where the City of Leicester now stands.
