PORCELAIN MANSION HOUSE DWARVES
Three: Two by Derby and one unmarked, porcelain, England, 19th c.; Tallest: 7" x 3"; Created by Robert Bloor for The Royal Crown Derby Porcelain Co, these figures depict the dwarves hired to stand outside of the Mansion House in London wearing advertisements on their large hats. They have been produced by Derby since the late 18th century. Earlier pieces like these are rare.
