After the conclusion of the landmark exhibition, which toured multiple American museums in the early 1950s, the candlestick model was part of a group of decorative arts gifted by the Italian government to the Brooklyn Museum (54.64.233). Brooklyn’s longtime curator Barry Harwood identified the design when visiting Mark’s gallery in Hudson.
